TRIBE AT RIVERWALK 🍸 DATE NIGHT EDITION

Let me be blunt: if you don’t like this place, I will fight you 💪

When I have guests in town, have a date night, or some time to myself, Tribe is always my go to. For brunch, lunch or dinner, each meal always feels like a work of art.

I started with an Ensueño, which was a chocolatey peppy mezcal drink. The fact that they have a page in their drink menu devoted to mezcal drinks means that Tribe + me are a match made in heaven 👫

We kicked off the meal with lamb tartare 🐑 It’s robust and paired well with microgreens.

The worst part: narrowing down my entree 😩 I have many favorites, so now I just go with my gut. I ordered the 16oz ribeye 🥩 topped with foie gras 🦆 served with potato pave. Ordering it with foie gras felt like I was leveling up in flavor, it’s rich and pairs well with the red meat. The potato pave is so delicate and buttery, it’s always one of those side dishes I end up having to share 😆

Hubs ordered the lamb shank covered in a honey chili glaze, served with a green chili potato cake. Y’ALL. This dish is incredible…it’s tender, it’s flavorful, it’s HUGE. This picture doesn’t show how big it is, it’s a feat of strength to finish it. If you’re on the fence about ordering this dish…I’m here to tell you to DO IT🔥

We ordered a side of wild mushrooms to share, and we polished that bowl off easily 🍄

Then came another round of drinks, this time I ordered the Ol Moda, which is essentially a mezcal old fashioned. I love a good old fashioned (they make great ones here 🥃), so a mezcal version was sure to be fantastic (and it was!).

Lastly, THE BUTTER CAKE🍰 it’s my favorite dessert in town. It’s a light fluffy cake with a berry compote and chantilly cream. You can spot me coming here to sit at the bar and just order a drink and this dessert, it’s that good❤️

YES they are kid friendly👧 When we arrived, we saw kids, but it turned into an adult vibe as the night went on. My rec? Bring the kids if you want, no one will frown upon it.
