Rock Park

ROCK PARK...or locally known as, The Castle Rock!

A perfect rite of passage for everyone who lives in Castle Rock or visits, ROCK PARK is an exciting and scenic 1.5 mile loop with full views of Castle Rock.

While there's a few access points, keep it easy by starting at the parking lot! It's not huge, but it's rarely full. You'll find covered picnic tables here and a portapotty as well, making it a good base camp.

This loop boasts a quick 350ft elevation gain, with 360 views of town plus mountains of the Front Range. Stop along the way up to take it in!

Once at the top, you'll find benches and tables to relax and stare off into the distance just a bit longer! There's also plenty of rock formations to climb around and explore around the base of the rock.

While I, alone, can get up and down the rock in about 40 minutes with a brisk walk, I always recommend allowing yourself enough time to enjoy the views! And take it slow on the way UP the rock...there's always small lizards my kids love to spot!
