Ridgway

Ridgway is an expansive state park with a ton of camping options for tent campers and RV campers. This is a great spot to post up if you're visiting Ouray, Telluride, or Montrose.

We set up a tent at a hike-in site, which was remote enough to be quiet but close enough to our car and bathroom facilities. The campground provides wheelbarrows to bring your gear to your site, but be ready for a workout: it's generally uphill! 

Forget firewood? The camp host checked on us regularly to make sure we had enough fire for our campsite. Such a nice level of service we didn't always receive from other campsites!
