Metzler Ranch Open Space

METZLER FAMILY OPEN SPACE 🌾

4 miles of diverse trails to hike or bike on, donated by one of the original Castle Rock families. This former homestead is such a gift! I’m so happy we get to enjoy these trails and views now.

Some loops are flat, some are rocky! You can do a loop as short as .25 miles, or as long as 4 miles.

This open space is new and home to tons of wildlife, so be mindful! Bears, deer and mountain lions have been seen in this area 🐻

🚗 You’ll find a plentiful parking lot at the main trailhead lot, or you can park further up the mountain by the secondary trailhead parking area.
