LEGACY TRAIL 🥾

One of my favorite hikes in Castle Rock! This short loop packs in tons of variety with some great terrain, big boulders, and great views.

One minute you’re amongst pines and flowers 🌸🌲

The next your in the sun, checking out cactuses 🌵

We are so fortunate to have this slightly challenging and rocky trail here in town, for our kids to learn how to use those hiking legs ☀️

I wouldn’t say this trail is “easy” like AllTrails says 😅 it’s a bit rocky and there’s a couple tight squeezes. My young kids handle this trail really well, but my youngest needs assistance at times. It’s not hard! But I wouldn’t call it easy, is all I’m saying 💁‍♀️

The parking lot was recently expanded because this is a great local spot, perfect for kids, a jog, or just a quick spot to immerse yourself in nature ☀️

You’ll find this one on your way to Franktown on the east side of Castle Rock!
