DEVIL'S KITCHEN TRAIL
One of the best ways for families to experience Colorado National Monument is with this short but impactful hike so some of the coolest, climbable rock formations!
This is a short hike (less than a mile), but get ready to climb up to a beautiful rocky grotto in the last stretch. Climbing up and through the Devil's Kitchen arch is a sight, but you get to enjoy it's full beauty once you're in the shade of the rocks.
My kids loved this mini natural playground, while my husband and I loved the sweeping views, we easily spent more time climbing and enjoying this spot than hiking to or from.
The Devil's Kitchen Trail offers several other branches for hiking, should you feel like getting some more miles under your feet.
When you enter the National Monument from the east entrance, this trailhead is one of a few you'll see. You can park in the picnic area for overflow!
