CHERRY CREEK CAMPING 🏕️

Cherry Creek State Park is a short 45 min away from Castle Rock and is a fantastic spot to go if you’re needing a quick getaway.

For us, we wanted one night to get all our camping gear out and do a test run before some of our more remote, mountainy camping for the season (see if we’re missing anything important, etc).

We got more than we bargained for!

🏕️ The sites, while they were not very private, we’re large enough to stretch out. There was also plenty of tree coverage for shade.

-We forgot firewood, but an on-site ranger shop sold us wood and offered many other items like toothbrushes PLUS nature resources/hiking equipment.

💦 We we’re able to take a perfect evening stroll to the reservoir, which was close to the campsite. This was our favorite part of staying here!

🏙️ If you need to bust out, this state park is right in the middle of suburbia, so you can go to a restaurant or store in 10 minutes if you need to!
