Challenge Hill Birthday

We had a “hiking birthday” for my daughter’s 6th birthday party (her idea, I swear 😂). So I gathered up a bunch of her kindergarten friends for some VIEWS and STEPS before celebrating 🥳

We started at the base of the MAC Incline, walked up (parents too!), and then trekked down the small trail coming down. Was it mildly stressful doing this with 10 kids ages 4-7? Yes 😅 But they all did SO great. Kids who had never done it before were so proud of themselves 💪

We handed out bottles of water at the top of the incline and granola bars at the bottom. Then we went back to our house for pizza, s’mores, and cake! 🍕🍫

The hiking cake was made locally by a mama in the Meadows, her business is called Caketastic Design and she pulled through in a pinch (meaning, I FORGOT to order a cake and she made one with 48 hours notice 😅). The cake was exactly what I asked for and tasted fantastic 🤩🍰

The birthday was far from easy (taking kids on a hike and then making 15 individual s’mores🥵) but I was so happy to make my big kid’s hiking birthday dreams come true! 🥾
