Kids Eat Free!
AVERY BREWING COMPANY 🍺
Next up for summer patios: Avery! It’s a bit of a haul from Castle Rock, but this O.G. Colorado brewery boasts an enormous outdoor area and tap list that make the trip worth it. It’s a great place to hit if you’re wrapping up a hike in RMNP 🥾 (like we had that day) or if you just want to enjoy a nice pint 🍺
You’ll find two restaurant areas indoors if sitting in the Colorado sun is not your thing, complete with a pub menu (and yes, mac and cheese for the kids 🧀). There’s also plenty of dining space outside!
If you’re just stopping for beers (like we were) then you’ll find an expansive lawn area with numbered barrels. It’s so simple: you just scan the QR code from your barrel, place your order, and the beer is brought right to you!
I mean it when I say there is SO much space. Families were hanging out, letting their kids run around the massive lawn and enjoy the beautiful weather. While there are not any lawn games, the kids all seemed to be resourceful and find their own fun 🤩 The kids could order a number of different sodas, so they loved taste-testing the black cherry and orange flavors 🥤
We first visited Avery in 2013 at their old smaller taproom, so to see quaint beginnings grow to this huge production facility was incredible. Avery is also consistently good and has a diverse lineup.
If you love beer or just want to dabble, visit this place next time you’re in Boulder!
